GACKT-spotting report: Day 2

Okay. I feel an urge to put an account of my GACKT-hunting here. Ignore if you want.

WARNING: Fangirling ahead, as usual.

Yesterday:
Dashed down to Orchard immediately after school ended, at around 1. Met with some other fans. We split into 3 groups - 2 going around Orchard, 1 around Liang Court.

Sadly, no results, so I left early to go home.

Nothing remarkable to report yesterday, really.

TODAY, THE WAY MORE EXCITING ONE:
Went with Claire to Suntec first. We were walking through Citylink Mall, when Claire was like, "Ooh, black leather."

I turned, and saw the back of someone who looked a lot like GACKT. He was staring straight at us, probably because we were having a rather animated conversation about GACKT and I was waving my GACKT CD around.

Claire saw him and went, "Ooh, black leather. Nice."

I turned immediately, because, well, GACKT is known for wearing leather, and saw the person staring at us. He was wearing all black leather and shades, and his hair looked somewhat like GACKT's. I immediately went, "OMG IS THAT GACKT?????????"

We both ran after him, only to find that it wasn't GACKT after all. Sidetrack here: I realised later that it was actually YOU, GACKT's guitarist who looks a lot like GACKT. And I completely missed the chance to get his autograph. I feels fail. Although I did get to see YOU-san, which is already a lot luckier than most fans here...

So then we went shopping in Far East instead. Saw Sha^2 there. Yay. Will not put the details of the shopping here, but it was fun.

Went back to City Hall to meet other fans at 5. There were only 3 of us, so we just walked around Suntec Convention Centre hoping to catch a glimpse of GACKT. No such luck.

Then, as one of us was leaving, we accompanied her to the taxi stand outside the hotel. We were lucky enough to see DEARS arriving when we were there. So I went up and spoke to them.

Me: Anou, sumimasen.
DEAR: Hai?
Me: Anata wa... DEARS desu ka?
DEAR: Ee, sou desu.
Me: Ja, GACKT no live no tokoro ga shiteiru desu ka?
DEAR: Aa, wakaranai yo. Gomenasai.
Me: Hai, arigatou.

So it seems that even DEARS don't know the trip itenary.

And then I went down to the Raffles City basement with the other fan, and we saw these 2 DEARS standing around and looking at a map. They were wearing the DEARS pass, so I went to talk to them too.

The entire conversation is too long to put here, but in short, we went for dinner together, and they showed us some DEARS-exclusive GACKT stuff. Also, they said that there could soon be DEARS in Singapore too. Yay~~~

Also, we took photos! Lazy to upload now, but I has one of me wearing the DEARS pass. Now if only it actually belonged to me...

I also found out a lot from them, but I can't put anything here since it's all strictly confidential.

I still wants to see GACKT... ah well. Looks like I'll have to content myself with chatting with DEARS. It's really fun though, and it's good Japanese practice.

Nyah. My feet are dead. First tramping around Far East in boots and then walking all over Suntec with DEARS is a leg-killer. GAH.

*is off in happy-fangirl-land*

Would put a proper post here, except my brain just died and revived several times over. I need some brain-cooldown time.

... Maybe I should just turn this post into fangirlism. Yeah, I should. You can ignore the rest.

WARNING: Read at your own risk.

GACKT IS ALREADY IN SINGAPORE AND WAS SPOTTED SHOPPING AT TAKASHIMAYA!!!!!!!!!!!11111

(take a deep breath...)

And, because of that, I'm going on a shopping/GACKT-hunting spree at Orchard tomorrow, with other fans I met online. YAY~~~

Looks like my plans to go to Kinokuniya, get manga and then get odango are scrapped~ But nevermind, we're hoping to run into GACKT yay~ Or if not, then it'll have been a fun GACKT-hunt anyway~~~

(... what else can I say here?)

SOME OTHER FANGIRL RAN INTO GACKT AT TAKASHIMAYA AND MANAGED TO SPEAK TO HIM OMGOMGOMG KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(I warned you about the fangirling...)

LUCKYYYYYYY~~~ *envies person*
So I'm planning to blow the rest of my money on GACKT's albums/singles tomorrow. Hehehehe.

Also, we're probably going concert-crashing on the 24th.

LOCATION OF SECRET LIVE HAS BEEN NARROWED DOWN TO EITHER SUNTEC OR BALLROOM OF HOTEL YAY~~~
And even though the hotel's name is not supposed to be revealed, I think I managed to find it after someone posted a few clues online~
SO NOW WE WILL POST PEOPLE AT BOTH LOCATIONS AND SMS EACH OTHER WHEN WE SEE HIM YAY~~~
Must remember to charge phone for tomorrow...

MUST SLEEP NOW OR RISK BEING SLEEPY DURING GACKT-HUNTING TOMORROW.

Fangirling ends here.

Ok, I is not bothered to type anything else now.

Ice cream, Milo and cookies. Oh, and long emo ramble~

Yes, I ran out of post titles. How did you guess?

Feeling sentimental tonight. That is, expect emoness and long flashbacking to follow. I have no idea why I'm posting this, other than to get it off my mind.

I was hunting in my drawers earlier, and I found a really old yearbook back from primary school, when I was in P2. Hunted a little further, and found this faded, dusty friendship band that I initially had no idea why I kept.

Then I looked through the yearbook. I flipped to my class photo (I look really nerdy in thick plastic glasses) and these two faces caught my attention. I'll call them P and Y.

P was this really spunky girl I met at the beginnning of P2, sort of what you would get if you combined Edith, Awa and maybe a bit of Jun Yup. I'll explain that one later. Anyway, we pretty much... clicked, you could say, a few weeks into the school year, and became best friends quickly. I still credit her with being the largest influence in my life so far.

Being in P2, and since both of us had this "rebellious streak", as my parents call it, we spent most of our free time wandering the school. It helped that she copied my usually correct work often, resulting in both of us becoming teachers' pets, and thus even though we got into trouble a lot, we managed to get out of it often.

She was a really nice girl, and we spent most of P2 playing this... game, or make-believe, whatever you call it. Mostly because at that time, I was really antisocial, and spent a lot of time in this fantasy world of mine. Also because our school managed to achieve the impressive feat of having 4.25 floors. That is, 4 floors and one quarter floor. (Don't ask...) There were rumours that the quarter floor was haunted.

Except she was also really manipulative. I didn't realise it at that time (I didn't even think about it until a while ago), and I'd rather not give details, but Jun Yup reminds me of her in some ways.

And then she transferred school at the end of the year. I remember being really upset, so we exchanged friendships bands before she moved.

And Y... he was a really good friend. We were classmates in P1, when I was being antisocial and he was being excluded because he wasn't as rowdy/idiotic as the other boys. He was my best friend until P came along, then he kind of dropped to the side. We were placed in different classes in P3, but we still talked occasionally. He started avoiding me after... well... a certain incident... what the heck, might as well dump it here too.

Ok... *takes breath*
What happened was that he told me he liked me, and I was like 'hah?' in return. ^///^

... I haven't seen any of my old primary school friends in a long time... since P5 or so, I think. Makes me wonder, how long will it be before the 7 (or as Naomi calls it, Famiglia, however it's spelt) drift apart completely? My parents keep on telling me it'll only be a matter of time (very specific, that); I hope it won't happen, but...

Meh. I really should be more worried about my physics test tomorrow.
RTotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + ...
V = IR
... looks like I still remember the formulas.

Also, Math is taking up a lot of our break now. Even though it's getting really slacky in class.

English is just boring now. Seriously, is there that much of a difference between 'slightly cold' 'cold', 'very cold' and 'icy cold'? And even if there is, I'm pretty sure you can't classify words describing degrees of cold using just those four categories.

Chinese... let's not talk about it.

Chem is the usual. Physics is easy as long as I actually listen in class.

Rawr. Nyah. Whatever.

When the cherry petals fall~

Rawr. I managed to screw up the picture order for the previous post. Meh, can't be bothered to fix it now anyway.

Ok, slight very long fangirling rant ahead.

MEI-CHAN NO SHITSUJI IS AWESOME~~~

Although it does remind me somewhat of a certain manga series... coughkuroshitsujicough

IT HAS BUTLERS~~~ Although that's kind of obvious from the title.

Anyway, I finally gave up on actually buying the DVDs, so I just watched it online instead. I ended up marathoning the series, and now I only have 1.5 episodes to go... T.T

Why is it only 10 episodes? AND WHY ISN'T THERE A SP OR 2ND SEASON FOR THIS EPIC-LY AWESOME SERIES~~~ TT.TT

OT: This habit of buying all my J-dramas is starting to cost a lot. At least I don't do this for manga... yet.

Back to the fangirling!

SHINOBU X RIHITO FTW~~~
(Even though there are zero negative chances of this ever happening...)
SUPPORT THE BL, I SAY~~~ *gets dragged off by Edith*

I'll end this post here then.

EPIC 成功之母~

... it's our new, politically correct, way of saying 'EPIC FAIL'.

Wonder what did this...?

Hey, maybe it was a giant meatball!

The parts that fell off.

Bits of apatite plexiglass in a pile.

Awesomeness. Amelia showed me this yesterday, while I was waiting for 207, then I took the pictures later, when I showed Trish this. Pity I didn't get a photo of the semi-cracked bits of plexiglass shattering when we dropped them... on purpose. (What...?)

It got cleared up and mended today. Except there's now a long strip of that red-and-white tape thingy (what is it called?) around the panel.

And let's see...
Today was average for a Tuesday, I guess.

Chemistry. Qualitative analysis, which was kind of not-very-spectacular except for CuSO4. And in the end, I started mixing random chemicals together as usual. Go nitric acid~

Edith and I got Pocky during break.

Physics. We started on magnetism, which is pretty easy, so I spent the first hour rushing out my late assignment. ^.^
Then after an absurdly long break (seriously, who gives ten-minute breaks that go on for twenty minutes?), we were given these three revision worksheets on electicity/electrostatics/elec-something. Ian hijacked my second worksheet since there weren't enough.

Yay break again! Found Edith, went to canteen, talked with Jun Yup, moved to library, went for Japanese ~5min late as usual.

AND PE WAS CANCELLED SINCE OUR TEACHER WASN'T HERE~~~ WOOT~~~

Uh.

Edith left at around three, so I ended up wandering the school for the next hour. In which I discovered that Murhpy's Law is true, by bumping into people I'd rather avoid while completely missing anyone to talk to.

Sigh.

Eventually went to the library at 4 to meet the senpai-tachi. Ting tried to tie YS's hair (scarring), ownership of Mew was passed around, Trish and I made more obscure Mortal Instruments references, Ting made random Artemis Fowl references, we overheard part of the Year 4s' rather loud conversation, we started pronouncing all our r's and l's as w's, I passed Ting Scrap Teacher, Ting fangirled over it, and I think no one got any work done at all. Oh well.

Then we were evicted at 5 when the library closed, so we migrated to the canteen instead. More randomness ensued, then Jun Yup joined us at ~4.40 after Ting left. Xiangwen joined us too, except Su and Amanda left, so the randomness level went down.

And I feel underaccomplished. I'm the only one who can't beat Minesweeper. >.<

Left with Trish at about 6. Jun Yup and Xiangwen waited with us at the bus stop.

... absolutely nothing happened on the journey home. Or at home either.

The end... not really.

Also, Tokio Hotel is an awesome band. And now I really have to start on my Japanese homework.

Even if the morrow is barren of promises,
Nothing shall forestall my return.

Yawn~

Rawr. I just got up a while ago, but my mood is ruined anyway.

... feeling emo. Sigh.

On an unrelated note, Tsubasa Chronicles is finally over. The last chapter was kind of disappointing though.

I'd give an account of yesterday, but I think I mainly zombied my way through it. Slept at 5am the night before. Don't ask. Although Edith and I went to the nearby mall. Edith got 2 posters from Comics Connection, and then we got drinks from The Coffee Bean. Yay for coffee drinks.

Was slightly more awake during IFC due to coffee. Couldn't slack off much for once. That's a good thing... I think?

Arrived ~15mins late since Edith and I were at the mall. There was a different trainer there, so my not-so-well-rehearsed speech for arriving late was unneccessary. Ryan had nearly finished tracing one picture, but then I realised it was all on one layer and had to retrace it. Finished tracing 2 pictures, gave them to Jeremy to animate, then had to quickly shift to the other lab. Yay for lab-shifting.

Hm. Basically spent the next 2hrs or so first coming up with random ideas (EPIC SPELLCARD || Rubbish sign - 『Law of Ueki』) before deciding that we couldn't draw mecha and ended up drawing a flowerlike thing. Although we could draw the nuclear reactor. Also, we banned Carl from the design. (MORE EPIC SPELLCARD || Dictator Sign - 『Banhammer』)

Ffft. What happened next isn't worth dumping here.

Also, I really should be studying now.
