Small backspace keys are annoying~

Yay. It's Thursday. Morning of my third day in Beijing, 10.30am or so.

Now typing this while eating breakfast. I'm sleepy~~~

The fog seems to have cleared somewhat. Or maybe the sun just makes it less obvious? Fog is really bad here either way. And it's cold~
Not here, but outside~

Went to see the Forbidden City the day before. It's large. It's also majestic/grand/splendourous/insert-simile-for-grand-here.
It's also rather boring. It's large, but all the palaces start looking alike after a while.
... It's also good for playing hide and seek in. Not that I tried.

And then yesterday, we went to see the Great Wall. IT IS AWESOME~~~

(well, duh, it's the great wall...)

Anyway, we went with this tour group because we didn't know how to get there ourselves, and the tour gave us 1hr 40min to climb up the Great Wall and back. Not walk, climb. There are stairs, but they're so steep it's easier to climb up the stairs than walk while clinging on to the handrail. Which is also why going back down is harder than climbing up.

But anyway, I thought we didn't need that much time, since we weren't planning on climbing to the top anyway. I was wrong. I ended up wanting to climb further (we got about halfway up), but ran out of time. >.<

The rest of the tour was rather boring, and we ended up dropped off in the middle of nowhere. >,<

Actually we wanted to see the Bird's Nest Stadium, and the driver of the tour bus dropped us off "near it", but we decided it was too cold and decided to go back instead. Except we didn't know how to get back, and passerbys we asked told us that the nearest train station was 30min walk away. So we took a taxi back.

On a random note, LET THERE BE NHK~~~
Uh. Just discovered yesterday that the TV in our room has the NHK channel. Now trying to find out what time Shounen Club shows at. ^^

Meh. I'm starting to get really annoyed at the China internet. WHY CAN'T I REACH BLOGSPOT~~~

Ah, whatever. Will now return to room and check NHK.

All hail the large backspace key~

*is dead*

Ok. I most definitely shouldn't be typing this now.

*is currently in the middle of script-checking*

Had Physics and then Math earlier. It's Chem now.

Gah, it's hard to think of anything to type. And I died. Multiple times. And then was revived just in time to die again once we checked the next paper.

Went for this IFC thingy at Downtown East yesterday. Registration started at 11, about the same time we got there. The actual programme only started at 2, so we wandered around, took advantage of the free lunch and were told to re-gather at 1.
So then, after wandering around for the first hour or so, we got really bored due to the small-ness of the place. We were supposed to look at the booths there, but there were only about 6 booths, including the polys advertising their courses. So, being at Downtown East, we went off to look for alternative entertainment.

We went bowling~~~ Yay~~~

Actually, some of them went off first, and three of us decided to join them. We asked Minh Tue, who told us they were at the arcade. We checked, and they weren't there. So then we called them, and they said they were bowling. We got there in time to watch them finish their bowling game, and the three of us started a new game.
Which I lost...

We went back at about 1. Ms Chew decided to allow us to leave early since there was nothing else to see there. So we all snuck out and left. Including Ms Chew.

Hm. 4min more to end of Chem script-checking.

... make that 3min. Will post again later if the mood comes.

Also, I'll think of a phrase to paste here later.

Yay~

FORDEAR
(just had to try putting that...)

Marking the end of exams~~~
Woot~~~

... let's not talk about the exams themselves. ^_^|||

Haven't blogged or read any blogs lately. No, the reason isn't exams. (I barely even studied anyway...)

Class chalet is next Tuesday. Still wondering whether to go or not.

Also, Negima vol 27 is boring. So are the recent Bleach chapters.

And my black onyx bracelet finally came in. Yay~
It's slightly too big though. But never mind, I actually bought it~
(Now I'm going to find something else from DARTS that I can actually afford...)

......

*is out of things to say*
*has decided to stop posting fangirlism here*

Nothing interesting seems to have happened lately. Ohnoes~

......

Meh, back to gaming surfing the internet fic-writing fangirling marathoning J-Dramas then~

GACKT-spotting report: Day 2

Okay. I feel an urge to put an account of my GACKT-hunting here. Ignore if you want.

WARNING: Fangirling ahead, as usual.

Yesterday:
Dashed down to Orchard immediately after school ended, at around 1. Met with some other fans. We split into 3 groups - 2 going around Orchard, 1 around Liang Court.

Sadly, no results, so I left early to go home.

Nothing remarkable to report yesterday, really.

TODAY, THE WAY MORE EXCITING ONE:
Went with Claire to Suntec first. We were walking through Citylink Mall, when Claire was like, "Ooh, black leather."

I turned, and saw the back of someone who looked a lot like GACKT. He was staring straight at us, probably because we were having a rather animated conversation about GACKT and I was waving my GACKT CD around.

Claire saw him and went, "Ooh, black leather. Nice."

I turned immediately, because, well, GACKT is known for wearing leather, and saw the person staring at us. He was wearing all black leather and shades, and his hair looked somewhat like GACKT's. I immediately went, "OMG IS THAT GACKT?????????"

We both ran after him, only to find that it wasn't GACKT after all. Sidetrack here: I realised later that it was actually YOU, GACKT's guitarist who looks a lot like GACKT. And I completely missed the chance to get his autograph. I feels fail. Although I did get to see YOU-san, which is already a lot luckier than most fans here...

So then we went shopping in Far East instead. Saw Sha^2 there. Yay. Will not put the details of the shopping here, but it was fun.

Went back to City Hall to meet other fans at 5. There were only 3 of us, so we just walked around Suntec Convention Centre hoping to catch a glimpse of GACKT. No such luck.

Then, as one of us was leaving, we accompanied her to the taxi stand outside the hotel. We were lucky enough to see DEARS arriving when we were there. So I went up and spoke to them.

Me: Anou, sumimasen.
DEAR: Hai?
Me: Anata wa... DEARS desu ka?
DEAR: Ee, sou desu.
Me: Ja, GACKT no live no tokoro ga shiteiru desu ka?
DEAR: Aa, wakaranai yo. Gomenasai.
Me: Hai, arigatou.

So it seems that even DEARS don't know the trip itenary.

And then I went down to the Raffles City basement with the other fan, and we saw these 2 DEARS standing around and looking at a map. They were wearing the DEARS pass, so I went to talk to them too.

The entire conversation is too long to put here, but in short, we went for dinner together, and they showed us some DEARS-exclusive GACKT stuff. Also, they said that there could soon be DEARS in Singapore too. Yay~~~

Also, we took photos! Lazy to upload now, but I has one of me wearing the DEARS pass. Now if only it actually belonged to me...

I also found out a lot from them, but I can't put anything here since it's all strictly confidential.

I still wants to see GACKT... ah well. Looks like I'll have to content myself with chatting with DEARS. It's really fun though, and it's good Japanese practice.

Nyah. My feet are dead. First tramping around Far East in boots and then walking all over Suntec with DEARS is a leg-killer. GAH.

Ice cream, Milo and cookies. Oh, and long emo ramble~

Yes, I ran out of post titles. How did you guess?

Feeling sentimental tonight. That is, expect emoness and long flashbacking to follow. I have no idea why I'm posting this, other than to get it off my mind.

I was hunting in my drawers earlier, and I found a really old yearbook back from primary school, when I was in P2. Hunted a little further, and found this faded, dusty friendship band that I initially had no idea why I kept.

Then I looked through the yearbook. I flipped to my class photo (I look really nerdy in thick plastic glasses) and these two faces caught my attention. I'll call them P and Y.

P was this really spunky girl I met at the beginnning of P2, sort of what you would get if you combined Edith, Awa and maybe a bit of Jun Yup. I'll explain that one later. Anyway, we pretty much... clicked, you could say, a few weeks into the school year, and became best friends quickly. I still credit her with being the largest influence in my life so far.

Being in P2, and since both of us had this "rebellious streak", as my parents call it, we spent most of our free time wandering the school. It helped that she copied my usually correct work often, resulting in both of us becoming teachers' pets, and thus even though we got into trouble a lot, we managed to get out of it often.

She was a really nice girl, and we spent most of P2 playing this... game, or make-believe, whatever you call it. Mostly because at that time, I was really antisocial, and spent a lot of time in this fantasy world of mine. Also because our school managed to achieve the impressive feat of having 4.25 floors. That is, 4 floors and one quarter floor. (Don't ask...) There were rumours that the quarter floor was haunted.

Except she was also really manipulative. I didn't realise it at that time (I didn't even think about it until a while ago), and I'd rather not give details, but Jun Yup reminds me of her in some ways.

And then she transferred school at the end of the year. I remember being really upset, so we exchanged friendships bands before she moved.

And Y... he was a really good friend. We were classmates in P1, when I was being antisocial and he was being excluded because he wasn't as rowdy/idiotic as the other boys. He was my best friend until P came along, then he kind of dropped to the side. We were placed in different classes in P3, but we still talked occasionally. He started avoiding me after... well... a certain incident... what the heck, might as well dump it here too.

Ok... *takes breath*
What happened was that he told me he liked me, and I was like 'hah?' in return. ^///^

... I haven't seen any of my old primary school friends in a long time... since P5 or so, I think. Makes me wonder, how long will it be before the 7 (or as Naomi calls it, Famiglia, however it's spelt) drift apart completely? My parents keep on telling me it'll only be a matter of time (very specific, that); I hope it won't happen, but...

Meh. I really should be more worried about my physics test tomorrow.
RTotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + ...
V = IR
... looks like I still remember the formulas.

Also, Math is taking up a lot of our break now. Even though it's getting really slacky in class.

English is just boring now. Seriously, is there that much of a difference between 'slightly cold' 'cold', 'very cold' and 'icy cold'? And even if there is, I'm pretty sure you can't classify words describing degrees of cold using just those four categories.

Chinese... let's not talk about it.

Chem is the usual. Physics is easy as long as I actually listen in class.

Rawr. Nyah. Whatever.

When the cherry petals fall~

Rawr. I managed to screw up the picture order for the previous post. Meh, can't be bothered to fix it now anyway.

Ok, slight very long fangirling rant ahead.

MEI-CHAN NO SHITSUJI IS AWESOME~~~

Although it does remind me somewhat of a certain manga series... coughkuroshitsujicough

IT HAS BUTLERS~~~ Although that's kind of obvious from the title.

Anyway, I finally gave up on actually buying the DVDs, so I just watched it online instead. I ended up marathoning the series, and now I only have 1.5 episodes to go... T.T

Why is it only 10 episodes? AND WHY ISN'T THERE A SP OR 2ND SEASON FOR THIS EPIC-LY AWESOME SERIES~~~ TT.TT

OT: This habit of buying all my J-dramas is starting to cost a lot. At least I don't do this for manga... yet.

Back to the fangirling!

SHINOBU X RIHITO FTW~~~
(Even though there are zero negative chances of this ever happening...)
SUPPORT THE BL, I SAY~~~ *gets dragged off by Edith*

I'll end this post here then.

EPIC 成功之母~

... it's our new, politically correct, way of saying 'EPIC FAIL'.

Wonder what did this...?

Hey, maybe it was a giant meatball!

The parts that fell off.

Bits of apatite plexiglass in a pile.

Awesomeness. Amelia showed me this yesterday, while I was waiting for 207, then I took the pictures later, when I showed Trish this. Pity I didn't get a photo of the semi-cracked bits of plexiglass shattering when we dropped them... on purpose. (What...?)

It got cleared up and mended today. Except there's now a long strip of that red-and-white tape thingy (what is it called?) around the panel.

And let's see...
Today was average for a Tuesday, I guess.

Chemistry. Qualitative analysis, which was kind of not-very-spectacular except for CuSO4. And in the end, I started mixing random chemicals together as usual. Go nitric acid~

Edith and I got Pocky during break.

Physics. We started on magnetism, which is pretty easy, so I spent the first hour rushing out my late assignment. ^.^
Then after an absurdly long break (seriously, who gives ten-minute breaks that go on for twenty minutes?), we were given these three revision worksheets on electicity/electrostatics/elec-something. Ian hijacked my second worksheet since there weren't enough.

Yay break again! Found Edith, went to canteen, talked with Jun Yup, moved to library, went for Japanese ~5min late as usual.

AND PE WAS CANCELLED SINCE OUR TEACHER WASN'T HERE~~~ WOOT~~~

Uh.

Edith left at around three, so I ended up wandering the school for the next hour. In which I discovered that Murhpy's Law is true, by bumping into people I'd rather avoid while completely missing anyone to talk to.

Sigh.

Eventually went to the library at 4 to meet the senpai-tachi. Ting tried to tie YS's hair (scarring), ownership of Mew was passed around, Trish and I made more obscure Mortal Instruments references, Ting made random Artemis Fowl references, we overheard part of the Year 4s' rather loud conversation, we started pronouncing all our r's and l's as w's, I passed Ting Scrap Teacher, Ting fangirled over it, and I think no one got any work done at all. Oh well.

Then we were evicted at 5 when the library closed, so we migrated to the canteen instead. More randomness ensued, then Jun Yup joined us at ~4.40 after Ting left. Xiangwen joined us too, except Su and Amanda left, so the randomness level went down.

And I feel underaccomplished. I'm the only one who can't beat Minesweeper. >.<

Left with Trish at about 6. Jun Yup and Xiangwen waited with us at the bus stop.

... absolutely nothing happened on the journey home. Or at home either.

The end... not really.

Also, Tokio Hotel is an awesome band. And now I really have to start on my Japanese homework.

Even if the morrow is barren of promises,
Nothing shall forestall my return.

Yawn~

Rawr. I just got up a while ago, but my mood is ruined anyway.

... feeling emo. Sigh.

On an unrelated note, Tsubasa Chronicles is finally over. The last chapter was kind of disappointing though.

I'd give an account of yesterday, but I think I mainly zombied my way through it. Slept at 5am the night before. Don't ask. Although Edith and I went to the nearby mall. Edith got 2 posters from Comics Connection, and then we got drinks from The Coffee Bean. Yay for coffee drinks.

Was slightly more awake during IFC due to coffee. Couldn't slack off much for once. That's a good thing... I think?

Arrived ~15mins late since Edith and I were at the mall. There was a different trainer there, so my not-so-well-rehearsed speech for arriving late was unneccessary. Ryan had nearly finished tracing one picture, but then I realised it was all on one layer and had to retrace it. Finished tracing 2 pictures, gave them to Jeremy to animate, then had to quickly shift to the other lab. Yay for lab-shifting.

Hm. Basically spent the next 2hrs or so first coming up with random ideas (EPIC SPELLCARD || Rubbish sign - 『Law of Ueki』) before deciding that we couldn't draw mecha and ended up drawing a flowerlike thing. Although we could draw the nuclear reactor. Also, we banned Carl from the design. (MORE EPIC SPELLCARD || Dictator Sign - 『Banhammer』)

Ffft. What happened next isn't worth dumping here.

Also, I really should be studying now.

Waffles~

Hm. Yet another post for today.

Really, absolutely nothing to say here. Except that I finally got my laptop, fully functional except for a few missing codecs etc, back. Yay~~~

Maybe I should throw in another random CYOA here. Hm.

... Or maybe not?

... I think I will, then.

>>User Savefile loaded

You turn on your laptop, watching carefully as the OS boots. You breathe a sigh of relief when all appears fine. You login, then instantly begin configuring you settings all over again. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you are aware that you have lost plenty of not-so-important-but-valuable-nonetheless data, but right now, you are more concerned with checking that everything works fine.

... Well, things certainly appear that way. You then try to decide what to do next.

You point your browser to Blogger and log in, then continue to click 'New Post'. Hm. It is only then that you realise that other than announcing the return of your laptop, you really have nothing much to say.

It takes you all of ten minutes to finish typing about your laptop. You stare at your screen, remembering...

[X] ... that you went out for waffles earlier.

Oh, of course. How could you forget?

Shortly after concluding your last blog post, you went with the senpai-tachi for waffles. When you got there, though, the shop was closed, and they instead decided to go to The Coffee Bean.

Joanne treated everyone to cake.

You discovered that The Coffee Bean has matcha. Now, you make a mental note to remember where to satisfy your future matcha cravings.

And most importantly, you went with Ting to Comics Connection, where you got three posters. One Bleach, one FFVII and one FFXIII. You remember Ting getting four posters, which included HSJ and NEWS... but you can't remember exactly what she got.

And when you got home, you had fun tacking posters all over the walls of your room and fangirling over the copy of Myojo you borrowed.

A beep from the computer snaps you back into the present. A popup window has appeared, asking you to restart your computer to finish installing updates. Hm. You might as well do so...

My first 2 posts still refuse to align left unless I'm viewing this blog on my phone. Why~~~

And now, in homage to the awesomeness that is touhou-project, the rest of this post shall be done in CYOA format. Mainly since I have time to kill, plus I haven't written much lately. ^.^

Well, there's always the daily recap to fall back on. You pause, leaning back in your chair to remeber this morning...

You got to school on time, in fact perhaps a little earlier than normal. You remember spotting Claire already there. Strange, you thought. Usually, you're one of the earliest.

And then you saw the pile of Myojo on the floor.
(Myojo, the JPop magazine, not the noodles. Go Google it~)

Well... suffice to say, you fangirled over the magazines with Claire, and then Ting when she arrived too.

What happened next? Oh right, ACE. You vaguely remember spending most of the lesson drawing.

And then break, in which you realised that Edith was absent, and thus you spent the rest of break reading manga in the library. Which, you note not-so-guiltily, you are now doing as well.

You remember History and Math passing by all too quickly, mostly because you were too busy studying under the table for your Chinese test. For once, you managed to refrain from using your phone in class.

The most vivid memory of today is Chinese. The dreaded Chinese test. Thanks to under-the-table last minute mugging, you believe that you managed to do okay, although you have learnt not to trust your own judgement.

And after that, you came to the library, where you are now typing this.

Well... you glance at the post, then at the time, and decide to end it quickly. Is there anything left to blog about...?

And the circle comes round~

Urgh. I'm posting this from a school computer since my laptop's still under repair. And now my phone has started hanging on me too. I mean, phones aren't supposed to say 'Battery empty. Recharge.', shut down, turn on fine when I try again five minutes later, then say 'Battery empty. Recharge.' after ten seconds, turn on fine when I try again five minutes later...

Probably my devices hate me too. >.<

And even worse, my entire CS project which I spent the entire holidays coding was saved in my laptop, which crashed, and it's due tomorrow and yes, I code fast but not that fast. Zetsubou shita!

And I have been suffering from a lack of internet since last Friday. You'd think that with 4 computers in the house everyone could use the internet, but no. >.<

On the brighter side, I finally got hold of Hanamichi Monogatari too~ Can't play it yet due to lack of laptop, but yay anyway~~~

And I have been hanging around 207 more than often lately. Strange. Amelia, Wanqi and I spent several breaks talking, and we have come to the conclusion that I hang around people my age way too little. Thus I am being forcibly dragged persuaded to go to the class chalet. That's probably a good thing... right?

Maybe I should read Higurashi next. Tsubasa ends next chapter, which is already out in Japan, and the scanlations will be uploaded by this Friday or so. I need some other series with epic mindscrewery to read~~~

(why do i like twisted plots so much anyway)

And as for today, normal... as normal as it can get, anyway.

Mentoring. Ms Cheng vanished again.

History. Let's not talk about it.

Break. Uh,let's see... oh yes, we were released ten minutes early~~~ Yay~~~
What happened: Some guy set the clock to be ten minutes fast. So far, no teacher has fallen for it, but today Mr Lim actually thought it was accurate and let us off early. ^_____-
Edith and I... compared sketchbooks? I think. Yeah.

English. More vocab exercises. At least Ms Koh let us listen to music today. Yong Jen and I talked a lot. Maybe switching seats wasn't a good idea after all...

More break. Strange, I really can't remember what happened in this one.

Math. Chinese. Let's not talk about either.

... and that was it. Another immensely boring day in an immensely maybe not-so-boring life.

Blah blah blah. I is sleepified. Must sleep earlier.

(yes i know this post is getting very disjointed)

And Edith, change your msn password. And probably all your other important passwords as well. You did get hacked.

(3.30 pm now and i is sleepier than ever and i don't know why i'm not going home yet)

Rawr.

And it appears I'm out of stuff to say at the end of posts. Well, that was fast. ^^|||

EDIT: Fiddled with the blogskin a bit more, managed to remove the Navbar but still can't get my first two posts to align left. Zetsubou shita~ >.<

As promised earlier~~~

I said earlier that I might post again, so here it is. The second post of the day, probably definitely sounding rather disjointed. I is sleepified. >.<

(i thought that i'd finally escaped the friday emoness, but no, it's arrived)

Mm... went home with 207 as usual. Didn't have to go through the front gate since Jun Yup was nice and opened the back gate for us. Before that, sat with Trish, Su, Xiangwen and Jun Yup at the amphitheatre until the Astro people left, then Trish and I realised our mutual fondness for the exercise area and migrated there instead. Jia Wei called to say 207 was leaving, and Trish left with the dance group at around the same time.

Started getting emo on the mrt. Stood in a corner for a bit, borrowed Pin's iPod, decided I wasn't in the mood to listen, returned it, stood in the corner some more, got a seat, spent the rest of the time smsing Kenneth who was still in school. The smses were quite amusing, and I'm surprised my grammar etc. remained correct throughout.

And since I'm bored, I'll transcribe the sms conversation here.
Me: I'm bored, and I don't know why I'm smsing random people.
Kenneth: still @ school
Me: Still having talk?
Kenneth: Not a talk, practice ;p
Me: For?
Kenneth: Eee, sore ha himitsu desu ne
Me: Hidoi~~~ And I'm feeling emo. I thought I'd escaped that...
Kenneth: Awww, so little vivian is now a mini nicholas
Me: WTF? Demo ne, atashi wa honto ni tsukareta na no.
But really, I'm seriously tired.
Kenneth: Tsukareta ha kanashii janai
Tired is not sad.
Me: Tsukareta kara, emo ni naru.
Because I'm tired, I got emo.
Kenneth: Eee? Tsukareta kara, kimi ha zetsubousa ni ochita? Nan da yo, konna koto
What? Because you're tired, you became despairing? What's this?
Me: Atashi mo shiranai. Itsumo konna koto na no.
I don't know either. It's always like this.
Kenneth: Sou nanoka.
Is that so.
Me: Mm. Nan de?
Why?
Kenneth: Nandemonai.
Nothing.
-skips a few messages-
Kenneth: Eeeto, kimi ha saki ni doushite koibito wo tsukareteinakatta?
Uh, why weren't you tired earlier when your boyfriend was there? (I hate typing this.)
Me: Atashi wa gakko ni iru, senpaitachi mo iru. Densha wa ima dare mo inai. Soshite, saki no renshuu wa nani shita?
I was in school, and the seniors were there. There's no one in the train now. And what did you do in the practice earlier?
Kenneth: saki no renshuu ha nan kadou ka, sore ha himitsu desu ne...
What happened in the practice earlier and what it was like, that's a secret...
Me: Hidoi~~~ Ritsumeikan e iku hito wa honto ni Hare Hare Yukai wo dansushinakucha ka?
Evil~~~ Do the people visiting Ritsumeikan really have to dance the Hare Hare Yukai?
Kenneth: Mayyyyyyybe?
Eh, ano shinakucha no imi ha nano?
Nanika ni shinjitai, shinjiru :P
Eh, what did 'shinakucha' mean?
Believe what you want.

Me: Hidoi~~~ Shinakucha wa shinakereba naranai no imi to onaji... Tabun ne. Mariko-sensei kara kiita.
Evil~~~ 'shinakucha' means the same as 'shinakereba naranai'... Probably. I heard it from Mariko-sensei.
Kenneth: Sou ne, sore ha chotto 'slang' kana...
Right... isn't that rather slang?
Me: Anta wa daiji na hito ja nai'n da!
You're not a VIP!
Kenneth: Ahaha, sou desu ne. Demo, shinakucha ha omoshiroi kei ne.
Ahaha, that's right. But, 'shinakucha' is an interesting word.
Me: Souda. Uwaaa, tsukareta na no da...
Yep. Uwaaa, I'm tired...
Kenneth: Tsukareta kara, tsukarete hou ga ii
If you're tired, you can rest.
Me: Atashi wa ima uchi e aruku da yo.
I'm currently walking home.
Kenneth: Ore month sore wo shiteru
I'm doing that too. (I think he meant 'ore mo'...)

And at this point, my phone battery died while I was in the middle of replying. >.<
Plus translating that took a lot longer than I thought it would. Ah well. At least I managed to mantain grammar and form throughout.

On another note, Jun Yup seems to enjoy giving Edith and I heart attacks. First the comment yesterday, then today he decided to follow it up with 'Your friend is so cute, I can't get her out of my mind.' o.O

... and that's about all I can think of to post right now. Maybe if I'm really bored, I'll post a third time tonight early tomorrow morning.

May the Spider Queen's reign last.

Yay new blogskin again~~~

And after nearly 2 hrs of painful hunting and editing, I have changed the blogskin. This one is completely awesome, so it'll be staying for a long time. So don't complain, because I won't bother changing it.

And in other news! Today was okay for a Friday, I guess...

(no emoness or mood swings yet. but i have a stomachache)

Mentoring. Finished reading City of Glass. I shall rant about how awesome that book and Cassandra Clare is in general in another post.

Math, in which I died. 2 hrs of nonstop 'analysis of data' torture, cumulative frequency graphs, and standard deviation without my GC. >.<
Let's just say I'm really thankful we're starting on sets next.

Then break. AND MY COMPUTER DIED ON ME~~~

Well actually it just hung because I didn't bring my cooler, but whatever. IT HATES ME~~~

Claire used the 206 projector to play FFVII. AWESOME~~~

Chinese. 3/4 of the class got yelled at for being late. >.<
Thankfully I wasn't one of them. ^_____^

English. Ms Koh thinks I have to learn to change my writing style, so she gave me Bradley's essay and told me to go home and type/copy it out. Meep~~~

And CCA, which is ending. Got nothing perhaps a little bit done. Used Edith's sketchbook to do the initial storyboard.

And since it's ending, I really should end this post. Might post again later if I feel like it.

Behold the wrath of the Spider Queen.

Nicman pizuman fucahireman~~~

^///^

Ohnoes. I just remembered that I haven't posted anything here for... over a week? Although nothing much happened during the holidays...

Typing this now with half an hour till Assembly. And as usual, 207 is still playing netball.

(I feel emo-ish. Great.)

Claire showed me LOVELESS, the actual book, today. She said it cost $80 O______O , so there goes my hopes of getting anything like that soon.

Mentoring first thing, in which I forgot to submit my Humanities selection form. Again, spent the time slacking since Ms Cheng was outside. Then again, we'd still be slacking even if she was in class...

History. Managed to finish about a third of the mind map we were given in class. Yay~~~

Break, in which I finally got a new sketchbook. Spent English decorating the front cover, and Math doing the back. Now it looks awesome~

Chinese. We had 听力, which was easy, and had to fill in this table of phrases without our 课本, which was hard.

And now, I is boredified.

Should probably say something about the holidays, but really, my holidays can be summarized like this:

~ play Touhou
~ watch anime/J-dramas
~ game
~ continue working on CS project, which I finally completed and de-bugged. Yay~

... and so, I got almost zero homework done. Heh.

Meep. I is getting very boredified here.

(And I is no longer feeling emo-ish. Yay~)

When the war of the beasts brings about the end of the world
The Goddess descends from the sky.
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting.

All hail the Spider Queen.

I'm not afraid of dogs...

... I just don't like them. Especially the ones that lick.

Uh. Will explain that in a bit. Anyway, went back to RGPS on Monday~~~
Edith and I hitched a ride on Michelle's car, and because we had no cards but Edith had these 'card templates', we made the cards during the car ride.

The cards were something like:
Cover - Happy Teachers' Day, a random drawing by either Edith or me
Inside - Message to teacher, more cute drawings
And Mr Seah got a mouse on his because he was 'too good at Mousehunt'. Not another Mousehunt fan...

Met Michelle (year 1) at RGPS. And Pinky-chan, aka Sinead. I think that's how you spell it...

Also met 张老师. Edith, how could you~~~
Edith mentioned that my Chinese was now worse than hers. Which is true, but still...

Mr Tan, you still owe us a Ferrero Rocher Ferrari each~~~

Didn't get to talk to Mrs Sng much, since she had class. Also didn't see Mdm Loe, which was probably a good thing. Didn't see Mrs Ho/Ms Lim either, which was bad. Her card had epic NUSH quotes on it, like:
'It's a bright and photon-y day!'
'aqueous H2O'
'spherical cow in a vacuum'

So after visiting RGPS, Edith brought us to see her new house since it was close. Then we decided to crash Kenneth's house. Suffice to say, we got lost and had to call him to ask for directions. Fail #1.
His reply: I don't know. Fail #2.

Eventually, we got there. AND HIS DOGS ARE SCARY... uh, I mean, they're... well... let's just say I don't like them.
So we stayed for a while, admired Kenneth's figurine and manga collection, and left.

Nothing else happened after that. I'd post about yesterday, but it was so boring and completely wasted that there is no point.
Probably has something to do with me gaming the entire day.

There is no hate, only joy

May Minerva's gift guide you through.

Yay I is happy~~~

I got the 1st volume of Silent Sinner In Blue from Kinokuniya~~~
And also Negima vol. 26, and X vol. 19. I is now broke. >.<

But never mind, Kinokuniya actually stocks Silent Sinner In Blue~~~ And they have the second volume there too~~~ Plus they also have this other Touhou manga, but I can't remember its name...

Left school slightly later than planned, at 2 instead of 1.30. Thankfully the bus kept to schedule and arrived quickly. Went to Kinokuniya, almost got sidetracked into Ion Orchard on the way.
Entered Kinokuniya, went straight to the manga section. Got Higurashi vol. 1 (meakashi-hen, hope it's correct) for Edith, then wandered off to look at artbooks.
Why, why do they only have the Cloud artbook? Last time I checked the Sephiroth artbook was there too~~~
So due to lack of Sephiroth artbook, ended up not getting any FFVII stuff. I wanted to get the 'Advent Children Reunion' artbook, until I realised it was just movie screenshots with captions, and a few bonus drawings. Considered getting 'Advent Children Prologue', but it was awfully thin for $25...
And nearly got 'FFVII Ultimania 10th anniversary edition', until I realised it was a game guide. ^^|||

Decided to give up on the FFVII stuff, but couldn't find the Fate Stay Night or Spiral artbooks either. Wanted to get the X artbook, but it was too expensive... T.T

In the end, couldn't decide which Code Geass artbook to get (there're about 10 different ones) and so decided to just get manga instead. Picked up Negima vol. 26 and wondered where the X was. Remembered what Edith said about the less popular manga being at the back and went to check. It really was there~~~ Thanks Edith~~~
Found X, and since I still had time, browsed through the rest. Saw the kanji for 'Touhou', looked closer, and found Silent Sinner In Blue, sitting right next to another Touhou manga whose title I really can't remember.

Finally went to check the english manga section then, but there was nothing worth buying there...

Opened Silent Sinner In Blue on the MRT, and found a bonus CD inside~~~

Plus I was reading X on the MRT, and the person next to me was looking and going o.O at the level of blood and shounen-ai in there. Well, it is CLAMP...

Mm. Have to pass Onion the stuff for Christabella soon. And I really should get on with coding the CS project, except it's getting more tedious than hard at this point...

LOVELESS

My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey

~LOVELESS, Act IV

No, not Loveless the manga, LOVELESS. The play recited by Genesis in Crisis Core. I wish we'd gotten to analyse it last year in Lit~~~

It's Career Day today, but years 1 - 3 aren't affected. Meh. Although Ms Cheng went missing for mentoring again.

Mentoring was a talk on blogging, something about being responsible and inspirational and astute and not revealing too much personal information. I think this blog fails on that last point. Plus the teacher asked who had a blog, and almost no one raised their hands.
Oh, and we were shown Xiaxue's blog, and warned about how dangerous it was to blog like that. At the end, there was a feedback thing, and for the question
'The thing I learnt most about blogging was:'
I was tempted to put
'how awesome Xiaxue's blog is'
just to see their reaction. I mean, the talk actually generated more interest in that blog than warn against it.

Break next, in which Edith and I got chocolate for a change. Went up earlier than usual, but still ended up not doing any homework.

History. Nothing happened.

Math, which I'm writing this in. Question 5 of Tutorial 4 has been solved by two people. Damn. And I'm still stuck on what looks like two steps away from the answer.
Hm. Math's ending soon. We're starting on stats, supposed the 'easiest chapter' in the entire module. Or according to Kenneth, 1 line math and 6 lines english.

Chinese is next. Hopefully I can get away with my still-blank 作亚.

Planning to go to Kinokuniya after class. So far, Edith wants me to get one of the Higurashi manga, Claire wanted some artbook until I told her I had only $50 with me, and I'm getting myself either Rozen Maiden or Negima.

Better finish this quickly before 李老师comes. Will post again later~~~

I offer thee this silent sacrifice
~LOVELESS, Act V

P.S. I know my blogskin is down, just that I've yet to actually fix it. Soon.

Yay, another quiz thing~~~

I has been tagged by Edith-sama. *bows*
Link: http://mct421.deviantart.com/art/Question-Meme-Generator-69266481
~~~
1~ In a race between you, Edith and Josephine, who would win?
Edith. Need I say more?
2~ How would Claire insult Jacen?
*bursts into laughter*
In Japanese. Actually, she would just ignore him...
3~ Who would you rather get stuck in handcuffs with, Awa or Joanne?
Uh, Awa since I haven't seen her for some time~~~
4~ Will Jacen eat those green eggs and ham?
*continues laughing*
Are you kidding me?
5~ Ting is actually IanF in disguise, you know.
*bursts into more laughter*
*imagines*
Ting: On my quest to be bisexual, I will ask a random person out!
*fails to imagine*
(This is an actual quote.)
6~ Would you love to read IanF's very personal diary?
NO.
7~ In a race between you, Joanne and Ting, who would win?
Joanne. She was in track...
8~ Does Christabella have any pets?
Uh, I don't know...
I don't think so.
9~ If Josephine were to be mistaken for a celebrity, who would it be?
. . .
Josephine: Reimu. Or Yukari
10~ Do you trust YS?
Only if it involves math questions.
~~~

Ok, that was... random? Now you are tagged too~~~

Now for today's update:
The AC high still exists~~~ Got glomped by Claire at school due to this fic I recommended her~~~ It is AWESOME~~~

Uh, back to topic.
Had mentoring first. Ms Cheng almost couldn't decide who to talk to today and so picked Russell at random. Spent mentoring slacking as usual.

Then history. We finally did SEQ today~~~ Yay! It appears I haven't forgotten how to write SEQs after all. Other than that, Mr Lim showed us the separation video. Kinda boring, actually.

Break. Nothing much happened.

English. We were supposed to work on our menu in the com lab, but half the groups had already finished (sadly, ours wasn't one of them) and were slacking/walking around/talking/listening to music/gaming/surfing/whatever. I ended up playing Touhou halfway through, and reading Edith's and my tagboards. o.O

More break. Played a bit of badminton.

Math. Nothing happened, other than I got a new quarter-chapter out.

Chinese. Suprisingly, I didn't die for not completing my notes. That might or might not have had something to do with the fact that half the class didn't either...
And yay for bad reading~~~ We were supposed to 朗读 the passage as a class, but on the first try, it died out after one line. =.=
Second try. Managed to get to about seven lines before 李老师 decided we were too disorganized and made us start over again.
Third try. Got to nearly the end of the passage before everyone's voice started discooperating again. Thankfull we didn't have to start over yet again.

And the quote above:
IanF: On my quest to become bisexual, I shall ask a random guy out! Or something to that effect.
So what happened was that he was trying to get Jia Wei to accept him as a friend. She said she would only do so if he became bi. He immediately asked her out. ^^|||

And then Amelia and I started going How could you abandon us? to Jia Wei. And IanF started trying to ask the 07 guys out (I think).

Oh, and I got a demerit point today. For not submitting my homework. Like, what? That's a first.
Hm. I wonder how fast we'll all get demerits.

Meh. In CCA now. We have 45min left to finish our stop motion, and we aren't even done drawing yet. We is doomed. Better get back to drawing.

When your subconscious rebels...

You soar up into the air with mysterious wings
Please guide that dark sky...

Um. Sorry. Listening to Innocent Days by Hitomi. It's awesome, even if it's in some madeup language.

So, about today:
Started off not-so-normal. We had flagraising in the hall, apparently because they had too many awards to give out. Somehow, they announced Nicholas as a year 4. Fail.

English was kinda fun, except we were supposed to come up with this menu, and now it's been left to me since I'm the best at english in my group. >.<

Then the usual long slack break, dubbed by Edith and I as the sacred Henpai-bothering time. Finally got Touhou 12 - Undefined Fantastic Object. Must remember to ask him for 12.3 tomorrow.
Jun Yup joined us, and we chatted about more random stuff I really can't remember. o.O My memory is dying.

Got pwnzored by Mr Murali because I didn't go to see him at 10. Ugh, must remember to reschedule to 11.30 instead. So anyway, he caught me in the canteen and told me to go at 12.

And then CS. Which was completely awesome. We finally learnt keyboard events, and animation.

Speaking of CS, let me OT to the project for a while.
I just finished editing my proposal, which I added a Walfas flash screenshot to for illustration purposes. Hope Ms Chew doesn't mind.
Saw Claire's GUI, which... what can I say? Let's just leave it at the fact that hers is scary. o.O Really.
So anyway, I've gotten around my un-knowledge of timers in VB by programming it visual-novel style. As in, press space to advance, and only static pictures and text. Plus it removes the need for animation, simplifying things by a lot.

Right. Back to the synopsis of my day. After CS was Japanese. In which nothing much happened. Only, we're supposed to do a write-up thingy on our favourite spot in Singapore. Not knowing what else to pick, I picked Caesar's. Then I realised I didn't know how to say 'weapons shop' in Japanese. Mariko-sensei's O___O face when I asked her was epic. Now I want to see what happens when I present the full thing, photos included.

After Japanese, met the senpai-tachi in the canteen. Started playing UFO, but couldn't concentrate after everyone else gathered to watch. So I switched to playing SWR instead. Gave Edith a quick explanation of the characters.
Edith left at 6, Ting and Claire and I-don't-know-who-else soon after for DV. Su left at around 6.40, and then I left too.

OHNOES I HAVE CHINESE TEST TOMORROW. I might WILL DEFINITELY END UP DEAD.

Right, back to panicking last-minute mugging. Wish me luck~~~

Oh, and a few people have asked about the other language on this site. All I'll say is, Google the phrases~~~

All hail the Spider Queen.

Qweh~~~

Yay. Been on a writing spree lately. So far, I've managed to write... um... started on this new story, and got the prologue, 4 chapters and an interlude-thing done. In three days. Plus a few one-shots done using lj prompts.

Anyway, the summary of yesterday:
Got to school without feeling sleepy for once. Hm. Looks like tea with sugar does have its uses.
Flagraising, the usual. Then chem. Got pwnzored by Mr Murali for not doing tutorial. >.<
Oh, and we collected the CuSO4 crystals we were growing last week. Ours was small, but at least it came out as two whole crystals and not tiny fragments. Russell's and Li Qing's groups both got fragments. Ryan's didn't even crystallize.
Then again, at least getting two roughly equal crystals made dividing easy. Except while we were drying them, mine started shattering. >.< Now I have many small fragments too.

Then break. Went to the canteen and got a mocha breeze. Couldn't finish it, so it got passed around and eventually thrown away. T.T

Next was physics. Overall quite okay, except most of the first hour was wasted waiting for the construction noise to soften so Ms Lim could actually teach. Used most of that time to write half a chapter more.
In the end, ten minutes break. When we got back, the noise was softer. More lesson, then a short fill-in-the-blanks quiz and lesson over.

Break. Went down and got lunch. Met the senpai-tachi and talked, but I don't remember about what.

Then Japanese, for which I forgot my books again. Used the lesson to write another quarter-chapter. Plus we got the JLPT forms. There's an awful lot of instructions in there for a (mostly) simple questionaire. Now I understand why they charge $2 per form.

Half an hour more break. Wrote the last quarter-chapter and started on a new one.

Died during PE as usual. We did baton-passing and dodgeball, then most of the class went to play handball. I went to the exercise corner.

Half an hour later, went back up to the concourse. Jia Wei, Russell and Jun Yup were sitting there. Joined them, only Jia Wei went off soon after. Talked.
And then Jun Yup spotted Xiangwen and called him over. Moved to the grandstand and met Joanne. Xiangwen went to help Joanne train for 4x100. 16 seconds. Ganbatte ne~~~
Spent the next I-don't-know-how-long talking some more. Tricia's meeting-thing apparently ended, so Jun Yup went off to meet her. Joanne continued pwnzoring me with a Deidara plushie. >.<
Xiangwen left. 07 finally finished playing soccer/handball/whatever they were playing. Slacked in the concourse for the next hour or so. Ian took out his laptop and we ended up watching Boys Over Flowers 11. And I asked him what exactly he had been watching yesterday.

Short backstory here: Ian brought his laptop as well the day before. He loaded some movie or other and started watching, then at one point, refused to let the girls watched anymore. He claimed it was gay porn. XDDD

So today, I asked him, and he said 'Bruno'. I asked him what exactly that was, so he loaded the movie to show us.
I think he may have definitely has scarred the other girls for life.
So what happened was, we waited for it to load and then started watching. At the very scene which Daryl described as, uh, a 'penis dance'.
... You can infer the rest.

Spent half of the mrt trip watching the rest of BOF 11, until his laptop's battery died. No~~~
Didn't really matter though, since Ian had to leave after 2 stations anyway.
The rest of the trip was spent hikikomori-ing in a corner while listening to music.

And Ian passed me his flash games folder, which I just spent half an hour looking through. Still haven't touched CS. Never mind, there's time on Thursday. XDDD

AND I AM SO SORRY EDITH I WILL RETURN YOUR LOVELESS VOLUME ASAP~~~

Mm. Flagraising is starting soon. I'm sleepy.

May Nox be...
Oh right, I now favour Lolth.
